Image Government's Fighting Manual May Lead SDF Soldiers in Iraq to Their Death
Jan 12 / Weekly Post....One example in the manual says, "When SDF soldiers in Iraq recognize an enemy, it is required that they fire three bullets in the air and one bullet into the ground to warn them. If they still try to attack, shoot at their feet. If the enemies continues to try to attack, shoot at their chests or heads." ....

Jesus Christ! How would you like to be told if someone's trying to kill you fire four warning shots? It's not like the good old days when war was about killing the enemy, that's for sure.

Wow, that's quite different from US Army basic training.

My drill sergeants told me to fire two warning shots right into the unknown person's chest. Then fire two more over the newly dead guy's body. Forensics can tell you which gun the bullets came out of, but not in what order they were fired.

It goes a little like this:

Halt! Identify yourself!

*bang* *bang*

*thud*

Last warning! Stop or I'll open fire!

*bang* *bang*

=later on=

Yes sir, I did fire two warning shots before I shot him.

=no charges filed=
More caustic. Less saint.

Yeah Caustic.

Same here.

I mean that is just STOOPID. Let the enemy know where you are. Great idea.

I can understand why they would do this with a suspicious unidentified person, but confirmed enemies need to get pumped full of lead like they diserve.

Hmm... I wonder what the US GI's will think about the Type 89 compared to the M16... I think it looks pretty nice, but I don't have any idea about the performance.

I think the Type 89 was based on the interals of the AR-18, although it does look sort of like the bastard child of an FN-FAL and an M16A2. heheh...

Eww, those are some ass-ugly AKs. That vertical grip just doesn't have the style of a standard horizontal front grip...

Now that's my kind of AK. Gotta love Saddam's trashy bling-bling weapons.

Now if only there was a gold-plated RPG...
