Endo ran back to the driver's seat, opened the door and had the top half of his body in the car as he tried to stop it as it rolled downhill at an increasing pace. However, the car rolled into a guardrail, crushing him. ....

Did the car roll down to the right side into the guard rail and pin him between it? Or did it slide to the right with the car being parallel to the guard rail?

And I thought most Japanese use their handbrake (AKA parking brake)... it drives me nutts when my wife pulls the handbrake all the f'in time...

I told her to only use it on a hill, but we can be in a parking lot, flat as a pancake, and she'll pull that brake.
