One third of Mitsubishi's large vehicles to be recalled

[Mitsubishi's president] Porth admits 62 more cover-ups

... The company will recall and repair vehicles affected by the 47 defects by the end of October. The move will encompass 450,000 vehicles, almost one-third of the 1.3 million Mitsubishi large vehicles now on the nation's roads. ..

68% of Fuso vehicles defective

Nearly 900,000 Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp. vehicles on the streets today have defects that require repairs under the government's recall system.

Ah, well that explains the recent Mitsubishi Fuso light truck advertising campaigns on US TV. Never ever seen them before. I guess you've got to push your defective products onto fresh markets, if the home market is spoiled.
