As much as I hate bonehead Bush, I think it's a bit over the top to hold a rally to celebrate the 9.11 terrorists' attacks. Maybe somebody might wanna parade HAPPY on Hiroshima Day too?

As much as I hate bonehead Bush, I think it's a bit over the top to hold a rally to celebrate the 9.11 terrorists' attacks. Maybe somebody might wanna parade HAPPY on Hiroshima Day too?

Just imagine if, after the Taliwackers, were defeated, he killed Bin Laden and pumped the much needed money into Afghani infrastructure, military and schools. Most of the world would still be with us, instead of against us.. And I'll tell you what else, there's been a subtle celebration of 9/11 since it happened. Nobody wants to admit it but a lot of anti-Americanism is rooted in jealousy and hidden nationalism for people's own countries. Remember too that most Japanese were even against overthrowing the Taliban in Afghanistan. I remember on the news, on NHK interviewing people on the streets in Japan saying, 'As to expected, I'm against it' ('Yeppali hantai' or however you romanize their piss fuck language) and they fucking brought in guest speakers from the middle east to sell their anti-American and stupid utopian pacifist rhetoric to elementary and JHS kids during school. Where the kids were being indoctrinated with anti-Americanism since right after 9/11. I just wish I could have been president when it happened. I personally don't believe that the 2001 attacks should be celebrated by anyone. Any human loss is a tragedy. Any protests linking Bush to "9-11" and then subsequently celebrating the attacks are both senseless and illogical, considering that such an attack was a godsend for the birth of aggressive foreign policy, in particular, coming from the middle-east.

I think the saddest thing to come from 2001 is the "War on Terror"; we've stepped into another Cold War scenario, of sorts, where 'Terrorist' has replaced 'Red' or 'Communist'.

While the ideas and notions of peace and pacifism in Japan take on a form of defense only, Japan still needs to take a proactive stance on war in this day and age, or it'll be in deep shit for the future. Or rather, it's ability to obtain peace by force if necessary. If Americas pacific security forces in Japan Up'ed and booked out, I doubt these protestors would be singing in on anti-American themes. And while I'm not going to say that the Jietai is totally incompetent, it does not do the job of protecting Japan alone. It subsidizes American security so that it does not have to do it alone. Something given has no Value, so since these young people have inherited peace, rather than earned peace, I doubt they'll understand the resolve of force. Taking it out on Bush and koizumi? funny, but not very smart.
