TOKYO --A Japanese team of researchers has found that continued global warming is expected to increase the rainfall in Japan during July at the end of the century... the situation will heighten the risks of torrential downpours and flooding in various parts of the archipelago.

Seriously, why are they telling us this? I think we should do something to stop (or at least slow) the process down, but there is too much vested interest in keeping things the way they are now. No government is going to do anything about it until it is far too late.

I grew up in a very cold climate and I am all for global warming. I cant wait till my hometown has nice long summers and two feet less snow a year. It's no joke. I want to rush the warmup.

This is the fun thing about global warming; the stories you read in media NEVER say "Scientists say winters won't be as cold as fuck anymore in Winterpeg Manitoba". Alarmism sells, and the truth that some countries like Canada and Russia would be big beneficiaries of global warming is rarely mentioned.

As for predicting rainfall in Japan, the complexities of the feedback mechanisms in climate make modeling a dubious exercise at best.
