Cop sets detained woman's hair on fire with lighter.

KIRYU, Gunma -- A Kiryu Police Station holding cell warder is under fire after he torched the hair of a woman being held under guard, police said Monday.

The woman, who is currently being released after charges against her were dropped, was not hurt in the incident in which some of her hair was singed.

The assistant police inspector accused of assailing the woman admits to the allegations.
