These are headlines within the past 10 days!! My Japanese friends are well educated, but they knew NOTHING about ANY of these stories.. No wonder they think other countries are dangerous: Other countries actually REPORT bad news!

Since I'm on the subject: I usually watch NHK news at 10pm. This is there reporting style:

"Suzuki Muneo has been arrested for taking bribes from a logging company. A logging company has been caught giving bribes to Suzuki Muneo. The politician Suzuki Muneo was alledgetly given money for favors. Being caught for giving bribes, the logging company Yamarin is in the news. Muneo Suzuki is in another controversy..."

(And this goes on for 20 minutes!!)

It's not because of limited time that they leave out the 'bad' news.. (Please don't disturb my ben WA balls)
