Woman claims 2 million yen left in obi

YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) A 77-year-old woman was identified Wednesday as the rightful owner of 2 million yen in cash that was found hidden inside a kimono sash given to a recycling group in September, after 17 others had falsely claimed it was theirs, police said.
The woman gave away a number of kimono to the recycling group in Yokohama, forgetting the money was hidden inside the obi of one of them, police said.

They said 17 other people also claimed the money after learning of its discovery.
