We've discussed whether Mr Massa Mania was "real" before but I was just wondering what he does for a living now that he isn't in the up-skirt business. I would love to know about the guy at a personal level and how his "Everybody-is-FUCK Crusade" started.

I do not believe a Japanese person wrote this. Why? Because the writer got most of the articles right, and got the word order right, while mispelling a lot of words. Any Japanese who mispelled this many words would get the word order and the articles wrong.

But I couldn't be bothered to click the link, so maybe this is supposed to look like a native speaker who isn't trying very hard to impersonate a Japanese writer.

Masamania is Japanese. I haven't met him, but Steven from TDR has, and has verified that Masa is what he claims to be.

I'm not sure that the registrant is the same person we're talking about. Anyway we get later on that.
Masamania isn't a person, in fact it's more a project that he's doing. Masa is in Japanese "truth" and mania stands for the pure ultimative mania blog about Japan.
Furthermore he shows and presents the "true Japan". It's all mixed up with his reviews, experiences, reports and a lot of weirdness, packed with nice photos. Honestly this site is quite intersting for me, because it's not just entertaining, there so many things shown that you can identify with or you have experienced the same things. Aren't you getting nuts with Ikebana, Sumo and those typical Japanese issues? Try to learn the other side of Japan.

Let's have a look at the man behind the scene. The creator of Masamania and Ninjashot calls himself "Kinzou" and he claims to live in Tokyo now.
Many facts say for him that he might live in Tokyo, because most of the shots came strait from Tokyo but that doesn't have to say that he makes those shots by himself. Anyway these specification tell us something different:

Nevertheless, I do believe that he is in Tokyo and I do believe that he's still or was a porn director. He mentioned it at his websites and if you do a deep investigation you'll find it by your own.
He's a pretty busy guy, no wonder, he's Japanese.

I'm glad he made it out of the train. Here's another pic that is not from Masamania. He was tired.... It almost happend to me too. Had too much work, had too much stress, had a fucked up stomache and the crowded place gives me the rest. This is real Nippon. Just watch out no salarymen pukes on your back while you head back to home by train.

I was sitting on a train that just left Shinjuku station and was heading back out east. Some salaryman barfed up on the other side of the seats... and I can only say that it was just as well the train wasn't crowded...yet.

When people started coming onto the train, all pushing and shoving....well, I'll let you finish the story.

Another strange one, coming back one night from Shibuya, this guy was continualy falling forward while asleep. He was teetering on the brink of collapse when he fell over onto the floor and curled up into a ball.

It was a real surreal sight as no-one did anything, it seemed the most normal thing in the world to these people

Taro is right about this but there may be ways around this. There are third party registration companies that will register domain on your behalf...you still own the domain, but the service acts as the contact person and it's their name that goes into Whois directory. One I have heard about is called

But I don't all the details or if there are some drawbacks to this approach. I do know that they have some rules concerning content. But I have not set up my own sites or spent time figuring out the various rules/issues involved with domains. Others here may have more valid input on this.

But I really enjoy your site, Masamainia....I really liked your photos of the motorbike Santas going through Shibuya. Keep up the good work.
