
Kyodo via Japan Today: Corporate spending on entertainment falls 7.4%
Entertainment expenses by companies in Japan in the 12 months through January 2004 totaled 3,464.5 billion yen, down 7.4% from the previous year for the seventh consecutive year of contractions, according to an estimate compiled by the National Tax Agency released Wednesday. The figure spells a decrease of more than 2,700 billion yen from the peak of 6,207.8 billion yen in the 12 months through January 1993.
