CopyNight in Tokyo

Postby Mulboyne » Fri May 26, 2006 11:13 pm

CopyNight meet-up hits Japan
...Co-founded by David Alpert (project manager at Google) and Ren Bucholz (Activism Coordinator for the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco), CopyNight aims to build social networks among those who care about copyright issues. Tokyo's CopyNight group is the first to meet outside of North America, where seventeen other chapters meet in cities across the U.S. and Canada. The Tokyo host, Matthew Altman, is licensed as an attorney in Washington D.C., and works outside Tokyo as an associate professor for UMUC Asia (The University of Maryland University College's overseas military program).

The next meeting of CopyNight Tokyo is on May 30 (Tuesday) at 7pm, at the Pink Cow in Shibuya. More information about CopyNight can be found at copynight.org. Matt Altman can be reached at tok[ATT]copynight.org.
