Golden Gai Summer Festival 30-Aug-2009

A few times a year, the usually closed off Golden Gai throws open its doors for their summer festival. Over half of the bars are participating in the 500 yen drink party. No cover charge and everybody welcome.

If you have ever wanted to try a few new bars, this is the best time to do it. Make yourself known to the owners and staff and then you will be remembered when you are next visiting.

I will be there with a BBQ in the street outside Araku (G2 dori). Spicy aussie beef on sticks, crocodile meat and Australian beers - all 500 yen.

Date: Sunday 30-August-2009
Start: from around 3pm.
Finish: bars will all close around 11pm so don't be late

It is the cheapest night out you can find in Golden Gai and a great time to explore the area.

Don't belive that. The first one shows up as on time as Mulboyne at Happy Hour. You can set your watch by it. The one's after that come whenever they damn well please and usually between the middle of the night and dawn on the worst days possible...
