Difficult to explain. Certainly like a forum but they require an intro to get in. It is also a place where you can keep in touch with your firends online.

ive found frienster and myspace to be a great way to network. When i moved to a new city i was able to ask complete strangers things about the city. I also met a few people in my field of work/play. Im also able to keep in touch with what my friends are doing. I haven't used it to find dates tho'.

My little sister uses myspace like all her other emo friends...

I havent used em since hotmail profiles first came out... but I might get back in that game cause blogs are too much work.

Not being a member of any online community (and not planning to look for an invite anytime soon) does anyone know how common it is to post there using real names? Also to what extent is Mixi responsible for the mess?

All I can say is that my guess is that the sales of charcoal braziers has increased in Tokushima recently. :-|
