I needed a portable Mac (now it makes 3 Apple machines in my collection) so I can continue with 2-machine debugging (important for us kernel programmers), retire my older desktop to the server room with Mac OS X Server (WebObjects -- self-taught), and have a portable machine when I visit customer sites... the choice I faced was a PowerBook or an iBook and a one-year wedding anniversary gift for my wife... :wink:

I believe there's a theory of groups where the number of participants are inversely proportional to the quality of the conversation. :?
