Any Gay- gaijin out there in fucked Gaijin land? (this not a personal ad, more a cry in the wilderness)

i am trying to make friends with some other gay people. I would like to meet some folks who aren't clubbers etc and... just friends who are living working in Japan. It seems a lot of people i have met here gay and straight are so interested in just fitting in and hanging out with only Japanese people or something.

I find this strange. I think people of like cultures might be intereseted in occasionally getting together? or am i the weird one? this is kind of a given, but seriously.

I am especially interested in meeting some fag hags... women who like to hang out with us hetero challenged types.

As a girl with many gay friends, I find the term fag hag not very pleasant.. it is used quite often as a slur. I prefer Gal Pal..

But otherwise, I am not sure where you should go to find gay friends..

Since he's gay himself maybe you could spare him the lecture It would help if you told us where you are. My wife kind of has homo-fever. She's always reading gay-boy manga and that kind of stuff and if I tell her someone's gay she's like, "WOW!!" She wanted to meet gay men when we were back in the states. Try JALT functions. Seriously, think about it. What is the gayest department in any college? The Foreign Language Department. Maybe 40-50% of the FGs in eikaiwa management are gay and I've suprised you having hooked into that vibe. Expect your "gay-dar" to take some time to recalibrate...maybe a year or so. Gaydar or hetro-radar , "peoples is peoples": it just takes a little time to adjust and get your groove on in Japan.

oh, yeah, sorry if that's a no-no word for you gomigirl, (a lot of my wimmin friends in vancouver hate "gal" so ya never know what bugs people. )

i've never used it as a slur, but i guess it does have the word "hag" in it. i personally don't find "fag' offensive... even when it's meant to be.

Actually i have been here for almost 2 years. not really a newbie (the "seeks black man thing" was accidental: my Japanese isn't that good.
