Fuji Rock

Postby GomiGirl » Fri Apr 08, 2005 1:48 am

Fuji Rock lineup is looking good this year.

I need to source some tickets (about 4 in total) and the best options for accommodation.. (prefer not to camp)

Any suggestions from people who have been before?

I went last year and the plan had been to camp but we ended staying in someones house and a car.

It might cost a pretty yen and you may need to book well in advance (maybe its already too late) but stay at the Naeba Prince if you can - its the closest hotel (the fest. takes place on its grounds) and its where all the artists and crew stay.

Emperor - thanks for that. I have fired off an email to the Prince.

Anybody else planning to go?

Mulboyne - you planning to be in town? Our friends the Cornish mother-son team are booking as I type this.

There's a fair chance I'll be around but I'll have to leave it late to decide. To be honest, the Summer Sonic line-up looks more interesting but Fuji Rock is the better event

OK I have the tickets and the shinkansen sorted.. now still trying to find close accommodation for my friends. I have a place booked but it is about 40 minutes away and not close to the festival... hardly convenient.

Does anybody know a good pension or minshuku or lodge?

Well, with my summer trip to Japan coinciding with the concert, I should be there.. I'll be ordering tickets soon..

What do you all recommend? 1 day ticket? 3 day? I'm really looking forward to the Foo Fighters and Coldplay on day 1.

Also, I was thinking that camping out could be interesting; Are there any big downsides?

Would it be cool if I met up with everyone?

uh, well, i've tried private messaging a couple of you, with no reply... but whatever.

Anyone wants to try to meet up with me at the concert, drop me a PM, I leave for Japan in a week.
