If you don't visit yet, I recomend strongry visit with Camera and Freinds.

you can take the pictuer many place, and touch some old things.
I think PERMANENT EXHIBITION enough.

Today visited 'excavated Japan' exhibitions, not good. same as Jomon & Yayoi,,.

If you love broken pieces old china, or excavation things, wood, ston, or something, go together, postar tell all of the exhibition.

anyway, PERMANENT EXHIBITION is very happy to visit, help understanding, English guied note and some staff at holiday.

Kyodo via Japan Today: Art world protests gov't move to merge big museums
Painter Ikuo Hirayama, architect Tadao Ando, playwright Masakazu Yamazaki and 33 other prominent figures in the Japanese art world on Wednesday protested a proposal to integrate two national museums and a research institute on cultural assets because of financial difficulties. The three institutions affected are the National Museum of Art, the Tokyo National Museum and the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties. "'These facilities are cultural symbols and if a reform is implemented just to seek profitability, the nation's attitude toward arts and culture will be called into question internationally," the group said in a statement.

Japanese musium study to commerce common sense.

If painter was profession, we have to earn money to sell art.

Japanese people belive 'Art is Art , so not necessity to earn'.
and everybody become bad.
