Cheapest Red Bull (vodka) in Tokyo

Postby IkemenTommy » Sat Dec 03, 2005 8:37 pm

I am stoked to let you guys know that Red Bull Japan is established and now you can get your hands on them here instead of having to smuggle them in your suitcase from overseas. I don't know the retail price per can if you are to buy them at a local combini, but I am sure they will try to be competetiv with Orinamin-C and those other funky spunk drinks.

Red Bull used to be available at certain bars at Roppongi but they used to cost a fortune. Not anymore. Just go during happy hours at Senta-gai Gas Panic and you'll score yourself Red Bull Vodka for only 400 yen. Aint too shabby when I used to see the same drink for 1400 in Pongi! Only if they had Jaggermeister at GP, then I'd cream a load.

I got the impression that the Japanese perky drinks had -some- redeeming qualities like vitamins, but red bull is just concentrated amounts caffeine, sugar, taurine and E-colourings in solution.

Originally, food supplements in Japan, such as calcium, were designed to compensate for the poor nutrition of the basic foodstuffs available in the impoverished country. However, with the recent westernization of the Japanese diet, products such as vitamin C chewing gum, calcium-enhanced chocolate, and a host of drinks such as Pocari Sweat, Dekavita C and Orinamin V, which either contain ionic salts or purport to endow the user with enhanced energy, stamina and vitality, are being marketed as a way of supplementing the essentially poor nutritional content of many convenience foods.

Ah - Red Bull Japan - explains why it became illegal to sell Imported Red Bull at events - in about July the law came into effect. I heard about it from organisers of the Full Moon parties who had cases that they were unable to use for their parties.

Almost like Exctasy.. are you joking?? It is a genki drink with alcohol - nothing like Exctasy but still a good drink. I may *know* of somebody that has first hand experience of both and they are not comparable.

Red Bull and Vodka! AKA, East Anglian Punch. You can not drink it, and still get punched at the end of the night! Gotta love it!

Sure I can live with that. Methinks that you need to get a better source of extasy to get a true comparison..

There are two types of drinkers.. ones that drink for the taste and the others to get fucked up. If you're for the taste, then I suggest something more punani like cosmopolitan.

I'm with gboothe on this. They don't have to be mutually exclusive. You can get fucked up on great tasting craft beer with 10% alcohol content, for example. There's no need to drink what amounts to caffeinated cough syrup to achieve that high.

A vodka Redbull is one of my favourite drinks. It's usually the first I order over the bar, and reach tipsy-ish with. There's the energy lift and a great taste, goes down like fizzy water :)

The trouble I find with it though is all that sugar and chemicals have to come out the next day somehow.

RedBull Volka! Finally, something to keep me up thru the burtal all-nighter shenanigans. At 3 in the morning, I don't think many people are still in the mindset to drink for the taste.

Bad news.. they stopped serving both for 400 yen at GP. Instead, you have to buy seperately at 400 each, or 800 total. Fuckin pricks.

Obama Ecstasy Pills Found At South Texas Traffic Stop

First Posted: 12- 2-09 08:31 AM |

(AP) PALMVIEW -- A traffic stop in South Texas yielded illegal drugs including pills in the shape of President Barack Obama.

Police in Palmview detained the driver after finding black tar heroin, cocaine, marijuana and several Ecstasy pills. Police say the Ecstasy was in brightly colored pills made to look like cartoon characters Homer Simpson, the Smurfs and even Obama.

Police spokesman Lenny Sanchez says the drugs look like a "vitamin for kids."

The 22-year-old driver in Monday's traffic stop.
