Golden Gai Festival - Sunday 26 Aug 2012

This Sunday, Golden Gai is having their annual summer festival. Starts at 3pm and should kick until about 10 or 11pm.

If you have never been to Golden Gai, or you want to check out some new bars, this is a good time to go. You can meet a few of the bar owners and then when you come back you can have an easy way in. They will remember you and welcome you back. If you just rock up on a normal night and they haven't met you before, you might get a frosty welcome.

Drop round to G2 dori and look for my company bar - Araku. Big red sign. Outside will be probably my brother cooking up crocodile (yaki-wani) and kangaroo (yaki-roo) sticks on the BBQ and my assistant will be there selling Aussie beer. I will drop by later in the day with my kid but for obvious reasons we won't be hanging around for too long.
