Just wondering if any FG are into Pentax SLR or DSLR cameras? 645 or 67 perhaps? Not too many Pentaxians around and I would love to form a FG Pentax group.

The Pentax ES was my favorite 35mm camera ever. I loaned it to my Dad, who promptly lost it. Haven't used a Pentax since.

You should puck up a used one. They should sell for next to nothing. Great fun with the old Pentax film camers. I still use my K1000 from time to time.

Well, you know how these old cameras go, the shutters get flaky. If I recall it correctly, the ES was the first camera with aperture priority and a continuously variable shutter speed. It is highly unlikely that a 30+ year old shutter is going to be even close to accurate, and unlikely that I could find a repair shop to get it into workable condition. And that's what I loved about the ES, I was a fanatic for accurate exposure and this camera always hit the spot, right down to 1/8ths or 1/16ths of a stop.
I have been hearing some rumbling about new high rez digital backs for the medium format Pentaxes, but I might have heard that wrong, and I lately try not to look at equipment I can't afford (which is just about everything).
