Yet... compared to Jazz... they were bulletproof... I don't remember a jazz disk not failling on me... they were just a hard drive mechanism with removable platters...

Also who remember those dreadfull Syquest SCSI drives ? they were quite popular in the edition/pre press world... with a reliability second to... Lada or Yugo... only... (in ascending order)

Now I have a 6TB raid 5 array for barely 5 mans... and not a fracking way to backup anything... Sometimes you miss the days of the rosetta stone...

I have about 2.5TB of total storage, some in RAID 1, some not. I back up anything of importance with Carbonite. I've also used CrashPlan and quite like it too, and there are others.
