Transgenic rice effective in curing hey fever is expected to be commercially grown in fiscal 2007, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said Tuesday....this will be the first time in the world that transgenic rice produced through gene recombination has been grown for commercial purposes.
