Spring automotive cleanup

Image (what an air filter might look like)

After the vast amount of dust these last month, think aboot cleaning or changing your airfilters. Did a vacuum/alcohol wash on mine yesterday, the car switched from "fook you i'm not going" to "factory spec slow" Which was a tremendous improvement. No more chocking when pressing the throttle, and will see in few days how the fuel eco went because I falled from 11 km/l to 8.5km/l before that (no big hopes though with the summer aircon use...).

Those of youze leaving in Tokyo and up north might want to put a breathing mask and nitril gloves before discarding your filter in the low level radioactive waste bin. (I'm not exactly joking this and front radiators are #1 hotspot for catching the baad stuff)(in fact if their was one half decent scientist in this island they'd be collecting air filters all over the place to check them...)
