Video Recorder for Handhelds

Postby Steve Bildermann » Wed Sep 10, 2003 4:18 pm

Sony has always emphasized the multimedia capabilities of its Clie line of handhelds. It has taken another step in this direction by announcing in Japan a small device that can record TV programs onto a Memory Stick in a format suitable for playing on one of its handhelds.

You can do the same thing with a card reader and a TV capture card. Of course this device makes it simple. Put card in, tape show, put card in mobile device. I wonder if it will play on Ketais with card reading capabilities. That would make it very interesting.
:D

Great read and find. 30000 yen is a bargain as well especially if you have a Clie and want to watch your favorite shows on the go. I wonder about the battery life of a Clie while watching video over the memory card?
