The Marriage of Tron and Microsoft..

Postby GomiGirl » Tue Sep 30, 2003 5:12 pm

Microsoft, Japan Group Team on CE.Net, RTOS Environment

By combining Windows CE.Net with the Tron-based real-time operating system, Microsoft expects CE.Net to attract designers of applications for cars, digital still cameras, consumer electronics and industrial controls by taking advantage of its user interfaces.

Tron - the sleeping giant - makes the big time..

CE.net is actually not that bad.. but there is no way that Stinger even comes close to Symbian.. me thinks that this has something to do with it... given that this was also announced this week..

DoCoMo 3G deal makes Symbian big in Japan

London-based Symbian is stepping up its drive into Japan's 3G market. A development agreement with NTT DoCoMo, the nation's dominant mobile phone player, could ultimately influence what software powers 3G handsets in Europe, the US and other nascent next-generation industries.

But I am not that cynical.. (or am I???) Remember folks - you read it hear first!!!
