I never knew iMode was so expensive... In my first month, iMode data charges were about 3500 Yen. Now I only use it when I really need it. What is the deal with the prepaid 4000 Yen data packages, how much cheaper is that going to be? Any other way to cut down data costs?

I'm just shocked to see how expensive even loading one single page is. Turns out I am not browsing around Tangotown too often, even though I'd like too.

Maybe I should've gone with AU's new flatrate after all...

Some tips to save your yen..

Use i-mode bookmarks (From sub-menu)
Use i-mode Screen memo functions (From Sub-menu) (so you only start to eat packets when you search)
Use "Minimal graphics"option (in TangoTown settings)
Speak to DoCoMo about your plan. You can swap to a more packet friendly one at any time.

It is starting to get very competitive and DoCoMo will be the last ones to drop their rates, but they will.
