Introducing, the T52 Enryu HyperRescueRobot. (orange jumpsuit not included)

http://www.enryu.jp/

Now, replace those treads with legs (or maybe robotic lions) and then they'll really have something.

This was a candidte for a caption of the day but I'm feeling a bit out of it so I thought 'fuck it'

However it has so many possiblities...

"so Mr. Bildermann you think my jumpsuit looks a little gay do you''

"Good lawd - it's Masanobu Scissorhands'

'Ok I stand here without moving while you take my picture and then what happens"

'Hmmm good.... the orange ones are always so nice and crunchy'

"Welcome to the homepage of Skynet Kabushiki Gaisha"

etc etc

As somebody on Slashdot pointed out, only 748 more revisions until they get up to a T800 model. :D

Tokyo's channel 10 is showing the T52 Enryu HyperRescueRobo on the 12 o'clock news parked in front of the US Embassy for "terror". One point about the T52: it runs on an big honking yellow extension cord, sheesh.

Speedy

From Slashdot:
... has a maximum speed of 3Km/h ...

Built for comfort, not speed.

Nothing wrong with that. The first EVAs ran on an umbilical. :)

You know....it could almost pass for an early-model Constructicon.

Now they just need five more

and then they can combine to form Devastator!

Heck, they almost got the colors right.

Looking for a few good MECHA-men

Robots out to create core industryAsahi Shimbun, Japan - Jan 13
....The trade ministry is looking for a few good robots, about 50, to spearhead the nation's advance into a new core industry.

Only the brightest and hardiest need apply. The machines, sought for a 2005 exposition, will need multilingual verbal skills, capability to engage in security patrols and sensitivity to transport physically disabled visitors....

I suspect Davros' Darleks will be applying ...
Image

After all, Davros is himself disabled (especially if you count being evil as a disability), his gang have plenty of experience in security patrols and they can probably say "exterminate !" in about 100 different languages.
Image

Just don't throw any rocks around, as they seem to have trouble with uneven ground.

And they'll all crumble under the might of Katy Manning's patented "naked Dalek domination" attack.

They always were suckers for blondes. :)

Please they are not Japanese Darleks, they're Daleks. But, oh yeah, evil and disability are great match for me.

My friend Paul Riddell still has an FBI record for allegedly selling government secrets to the Daleks from fifteen years ago. Paul says, "I keep telling the bastards that I'd never sell government secrets to the Daleks: the Sontarans and the Cybermen pay better."

Very cunning attack - stun them with the naked nymph then zap them with the weapon between her thighs ... is that a toilet plunger???

Better than being a sucker for a blonde, is having a blonde for a sucker !

And here's a picture I found of that Dalek and his Mrs before that home-wrecker Katy straddled his plunger ...
Image

I wonder what the correct collective noun for Daleks should be?
I roll of Daleks?

And what about robots in general ?
A battery of androids?

Well spotted Taro-san - solli, I habu no ekusukyuusu (other than over-exposure to Japanese culture, perhaps. Do they have a cream for that?).

Fishing around for a photo of the Cybermen you mentioned -
