A joint research group including doctors from the Keio University School of Medicine says a new image analysis system can detect melanoma, a nasty type of skin cancer, with more than 90 percent accuracy...the new system will allow remote doctors and patients to send in images of skin lesions via e-mail and receive electronic diagnosis results in return.....Akifumi Yamamoto, head of the dermatology division at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo's Chuo Ward, said, "Clinical diagnosis with the naked eye of early melanoma requires much experience."
