I'm using Firefox now. I think it's good but I would like to go back to IE. I'm just very PARANIOD 8O, that's all. What have all of you done?

Personally, I've never really had a problem with IE (other than rare page rendering errors), but I have safe system and browser settings, a custom hosts file, a pop-up blocker, firewall, anti-virus, up-to-date patches and do regular anti-spyware sweeps.

Firefox definitely has better features for safety (and otherwise). Things you can do with ad blocking, custom css and other plug-ins are amazing. I still use it as a secondary browser though, because I'm too lazy to make the complete switch.

I did recently update to SP2 and IE's new pop-up blocker and ActiveX notifications are a nice improvement and should give an extra layer of protection. Safer or better than Firefox? No, but if you follow safe surfing practices, you'll probably be ok.

Thanx bikkle, I think I follow safe surfing practices as well. I'm using spyware blockers and removers as well. I believe IE to be a more user friendly browser than firefox, but I feel safe using firefox. I hope to return to IE as soon as I can feel safe enough to do so. :D

Stuck using IE for work because some applications are web-based... but given the choice (which I have 90% of the time) I use Opera 7.5. It's the sweetest. Just using mouse clicks to go forwards or backwards is reason enough... and then the skinning features and tons of mods made... why would you use IE?
