Check it out from most every angle in Quicktime VR.

And Sparkle, you should know that Steve didn't do it, Jonathan Ive did.

Proview based in Taiwan have been selling an ITM Mini fanless PC slapped on the back of a TFT monitor for two years now.

It doesn't look as nice as that one though :love2:

Looks awesome and THANK GOD it's NOT a PC. heh heh heh

It will run Apple Motion too!

Wondering if the G5 laptop is far behind?? It's gonna be hard making it as wafer thin as the G4, for sure.

I saw the 20in iMac specs and I wondered if it is faster than my dual 1Ghz MDD PowerMac desktop machine, the 20in LCD might be a step up from my 19in Sony monitor and obsolete Radeon 9000 video card. This is the time I usually consider upgrades, when my former top-of-the-line CPU is surpassed by the low end iMac. I wonder if the new iMac is as fast as a dual G4 when running the intensive multimedia stuff like FCP, Compressor, etc.

We have a G5 and an X-Serve G4 rack.

The G4 rack is as noisy as hell and we keep it in a cupboard so we can hear ourselves think. We have to have to separate ventilation to stop the paint melting off the walls with the heat it puts out.

The G5 sits in our conference room and is as quiet as a mouse. It is sweet.. well as sweet as a titanium tank can look..

Desperately waiting to take delivery of a G5 dual-processor rack.

Yeah, those are notoriously LOUD! It's wise to purchase a sound proof enclosure for those bad boys.

BTW, I am in the SF Apple store right now. I just did a similar seminar that I did at the Ginza Store. Unfortunately, the turn out was rather low. :?

Waiting at the Genius Bar to see what the HELL happened to the first 100 photos I took in Tokyo. iPhoto seemed to have deleted them. DAMN! Luckily I still have a coupla prized photos of GG and Mulboyne that night we hung out at Golden Gai. I will post 'em all soon!

Peace Out.

There are lots of Windows PCs that are built into the monitor. Had an Epson on my desk at work about 2 years ago.
This is common in industrial equipment where the GUI is also a complete PC. Takes up less room and addition cards PCI cards will not be added.

Wonder why Mac was so slow to market.

What the Mac started, the PC will finish up.

Okay, now that would be a Mac case, with a PC inside, running 68k MacOS emulation software on top of a Windows OS.
My emulated Mac now runs about 15 times faster that the original SE/30.

Macs are so damn expensive though.

I desire an Xserver immensly but the price tag for a toy when I already have one is too much.

If you're not into building your own computer, I don't think this argument holds much weight anymore:

Yeah, the cost notion is somewhat of a myth nowadays :) It becomes a joke once you consider the amount of SW you receive with a new system in comparison, and then there's the countless number of quality open source applications.

Yes it's a well known fact that there are not many quality open source applications on pc.

gotta agree with ptyx, we all use a computer, does it really matter which one?
I guess its different if you have some specific use in mind, and then building your own is prob best, but its like a car, if it gets you from A to B then whats the big deal? Its all about how much you wanna spend on getting you there
