Fri Jul 23, 9:17 AM ET
BERLIN (Reuters)

The glasses designer says there is growing demand from time-pressured sushi fans eating their favorite food on the go. "The idea came from the common need for cutlery at any time," said company director Ralph Anderl, who also uses his personal frames to eat the Japanese raw fish delicacy...

-- (NOTE: I spent hours yesterday looking for these glasses which are not featured ANYWHERE on the company's ic!berlin's website. Most likely, this is a PR scam they didn't even bother to document.)

Ananova, UK - 30 Aug
A German company has invented a pair of glasses that come apart to double as chopsticks.
The 'sushi specs' have detachable arms that can be used to eat traditional Japanese food. Those who aren't adept at using chopsticks can have forks attached as an alternative...
"The glasses have been a particular hit in Japan," said Mr Anderl, runs Berlin-based company Ic!Berlin. The frames ...

I like the old way of storing them ...

Sheeee-it...this German company has gone "Japanesey." WTF is wrong with these folks putting a shit ramen shop motif on their eyewear display in TOKYO!?!
This might fool some sushi-for-brains, wannabe euro-otaku, but how is this a positive image for Japanese buyers?
