So here's the deal- I purchased a handwriting tablet (Wacom Graphire3 4x5) with the intention of using it for handwritten input of Japanese. I've read quite a few articles detailing how "simple" it is to install the MSDN version of Windows XP Tablet PC edition. Of course, it didn't work. Essentially, it's not GOING to work, so I'm no longer even considering that as one of the possible options.
Getting to the point, I'm looking for a way to use this tablet to input handwriting in a similar manner to how it's done in XP Tablet edition. It's very natural, instead of the built in functions in regular XP where you have to switch between boxes if you'd like to use handwriting. I'd like to be able to write either vertically or horizontally and do a batch conversion of, say, a whole sentence. Is there any software that can match XP Tablet's multiple input languages? In it, you can write in both english and japanese, and it automatically differentiates between the two. Dammit, I want this to work. I *really* prefer handwriting to typed input, so there's no persuading me otherwise on it- with that in mind, anyone have any tips on where to look for some software that can do these things? Thanks!
