There were 2 types of laserdisc players, you better make sure you know which type of discs you have before you shop. It's like Beta and VHS.

There actually only one format of laserdisc. The other old video disc format is CED. CED is LONG dead and hasn't been around for about 20 years. Laserdiscs and players production ended about a year or so after DVDs were introduced. So you are more than likely going to have to find a used one.

You can find players and discs on ebay. You can also find them on audiogon.com. If you are in Japan you can check Yahoo Japan Auctions or prowel the back alleys of Akihabra. I have seen used players and disc there.
