I'm in love with my Halogen Heat Fan

I can't turn this damn thing off.. it's so warm and cozy.. I have it set to oscillate back and fourth, as well as the ion setting.. It doesn't heat the room but it sure gets hot.

I got it last year for my wife but she never uses it.. so I've kind of taken it. I really like it and recommend one to anyone wanting to be warm in the winter.

It has a very nifty safety feature where if it gets picked up, knocked over, a small button the bottom turns the fan instantly off. While it is a nice safety feature, it can get annoying, if I have to move the fan back because it is too hot.. it shuts off.... but hey I can live with that.

I love this crazy notion that the Chinese seem to use, I call it a radiator. Every room is warm and sometimes you just need to crack a window to cool it off a little bit. The even crazier thing is that they seem to build housing here with the realization that the housing will need to be heated instead of an afterthought.

Radiators blow... too loud... you touch it and you soon won't forget it... plus they look like ass in a house....

I can touch my halogen fan, even on the grill, and it won't burn you because it is coated in some kind of furry material that absorbs the heat and remains cool.

I like my halogen heat fan. It has an economical 400 watt setting, but since I am paying for the electricity I like to crank it up to 800 watts and let the power metre spin..

Well I only use it when I am using my computer.. otherwise I'm under the kotatsu.

She doesn't use it in the computer room, so I do.

loud? It's pipes and hot water, there is no noise, the heat is nice to dry towels on too. And there is at least one in every room

Yes it is... you can't dry towels on it, but you can preheat your clothes for a very cold February morning.
