This has probably been around, but I just found it today.. Looks like Gizmodo but Japan-centric.. Interesting.

Akihabara News has been founded in 2002 by Mr G-A G or more commonly called Daimaou on different forums, and has spent 4 years in Hong-Kong (China) and presently lives in Tokyo Japan.

Strong of its experience, Daimaou decided to writes news and articles to his fellow Gwei-lo (Cantonese) or Gai-jin (Japanese) which means foreigners, about all this stuff that he is daily playing with.

In Januray 2005, and after reaching more that 450,000 unique visitors per Month and after being linked by the most prestigious Gadgets related web site like Engadgets and Gizmodo, Daimaou decided to step forward and to propose Akihabara News fully in English, this thanks to the generous Help of Steven.

Of course Daimaou is not alone behind Akaihabara News and he is receving helps from Ms. Pandora, Mr. Totoro and the guys who are behind the SOROBANGEEKS Community (The French leading Community on Mobile Technology)

Come to think of it, I believe I've stumbled upon it a couple times in the past.. But it was in French so I only looked at the pictures..
