Has anyone installed the free trial of x64 yet? Im thinking about setting up a dual boot, getting tired of waiting for 64 bit software, drivers etc to come out tho.

Yes.
No problems with the Dell Precision Workstation (don't remember the model number at the moment) I'm using at work. All the hardware was OK except for the Sentinel drivers required for software locks which have not officially been updated yet, but there is betas floating about but they may not work with your software anyway.
The only reason I would upgrade is if you are having memory crashes due to standard XPs upper limit on memory usage. Running CAD-CAM software packages in memory rather than swapping should increase perfomance also.

I installed it about 6 months ago on my Athlon 64 3000+, it worked fine... However, my sound card was unrecognizable, and several of my favorite programs did not properly emulate under 32-bit in windows. On top of which, the "test" version of x64 Windows does not allow updates of any kind from Windows' servers, and as such is full of security holes. Also, I run a ATI Radeon 9700 pro, and the test drivers from ATI did not work properly. Sad.
