What I've read so far indicates that some aircraft had premature cracking in some wing ribs, specifically at the point where they are riveted to the wing skin. SIA says they found this problem on 2 of their 380's, and the issue was promptly dealt with as per the structural repair manual's instructions. Not a worrying development AFAIK.

This would be very surprising indeed... especially considering A380 wings are made from an aluminium alloy.
