recieving e-mail messages on keitai.

Ok so i just got a new mobile phone and 50% of the time when i recieve emails from hotmail, yahoo mail etc it says INVALID MESSAGE TEXT !

It works for some hotmail users and others not ?!?! anyone know how to fix this INVALID MESSAGE TEXT thing ??? Its happened for many yrs now with other phones ive had too. ie J-phone, TUKA, AU etc etc....

The problem with Hotmail is that they are in HTML format by default and not rich text or plain text. The keitais prefer the messages to be in rich/plain text because they are lighter. Maybe your keitai is filtering out the mails because of the size issue.

Another cause could be that the errored messages are not using a Japanese charset such as ISO-2022-JP... we had this problem.

Yes all of the above. Ask your friends to only use plain text from Hotmail and Yahoo. It is an easy option.

Hotmail is pretty sucky.
