well assuming you dont forget that you know how to use it...

I'm a big fan of the newest/best Sony clie. It is resonably powerful and full color. It also has a built in camera, memory slot and a small touch-keyboard so you could take picutures and make corresponding notes to keep track of things. My friend has one and it is pretty sturdy so it will stand up to being carried all the time... plus the visual cues might be useful.

Speaking of Memento, I just saw that movie on DVD. Very innovative way to tell a story. Steve, please tell me you don't live life in reverse!

Sometimes I wonder if forgetting what year you're in isn't such a bad thing :)

Re: PDA

Ask at your local mental health clinic.

Er well actually - No.

PDA - Short for personal digital assistant, a handheld device that combines computing, telephone/fax, Internet and networking features. A typical PDA can function as a cellular phone, fax sender, Web browser and personal organizer. Unlike portable computers, most PDAs began as pen-based, using a stylus rather than a keyboard for input. This means that they also incorporated handwriting recognition features. Some PDAs can also react to voice input by using voice recognition technologies. PDAs of today are available in either a stylus or keyboard version.

But thanks anyway :D

All things are comparative.

Compared to the green and blue 'DUHHHH' pills they put in me at the hospital take my word LSD is pretty fucking mild.

I wouldn't wish a 48 hour XANAX trip on my worst enemy.

Now, if that dude in Memento only had a PDA, he would never have had to tattoo so much stuff on his body. He could just take notes on it, date them, and even attach a camera for identifying the people he met. But then, that would ruin any chance of a good movie, wouldn't it

Which sort of brings us to the point of this thread. I'm looking for recommendations on a PDA?

I`ve used a Palm OS PDA from IBM for 3 years. Great device for scheduling, tracking expenses, etc. The Grafiti handwriting system is OK but a bit slow for my tastes so I use a small, folding keyboard for extended writing tasks. I also have Pocket Quicken which allows me to enter expenses and have them show up in Quicken on the PC later. The new Sony Clies, also based on Palm OS, look really sweet but I have resisted the upgrade urge. The Pocket PCs look nice but I`m not sure if I really need to look at Excel sheets on a tiny screen.
