The Japan Science and Technology Agency said Tuesday it will launch a portal site Wednesday leading to about 550 online sources of science and technology-related information in English provided by Japanese entities, including the government. The agency, affiliated with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, will launch Science Links Japan, or http://sciencelinks.jp, at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Japan time, agency President Kazuki Okimura said at a press conference. The site will have links to about 550 websites on which, for example, visitors can use science and technology-related databases, and look up various policies in the sectors in English. Most of the websites are created by the Japanese government, research institutes and other academic organizations, the agency said
