Decent wifi spot in Shibuya?

Looking for cafe/restaurant that's not too noisy with either free/cheap wifi.

Any suggestions?

It has been a while since I've stayed there, but the lobby coffee shop in the Shibuya Excel Tokyu did have wi-fi, although I never tried it, so I don't know if it was pay or if it was free. Noise wise, it is not great when it is full but not bad when it is not full...and they weren't blaring alot of music either.

I don't know if Dexee Diner has wifi but at their old location, they did have some macs set up for internet use and it was often fairly quiet during the day time...But it looks like it's moved since I was last there, so that might have changed

Dubliners 'supposedly' has free wi-fi. I say supposedly because the last time I was there with my computer, I asked if they had it. They said yes, but the 'system was down' at the moment.. You might want to call ahead to make sure.. It's relatively quiet on weekday afternoons..

Is security a concern? I usually just walk around with my laptop until I find a live spot that is open. There are loads of them in Shibuya. I am sure you can find one that is accessible from a cafe. I'd just go from one to the next and stand outside with my laptop open.

I need a spot where I can sit down and teach a person how to use some software.

It did occur to me this morning that maybe a manga kissaten is an ok option.

Looking for a hip, moderately priced restaurant (around the 1000-2000 yen range) with a fusion of Western and Japanese, the atmosphere of a buzzing cafe, house music in the background, and a chance to check your e-mail? Check out the Wired Cafe. Locations include two branches in Shibuya, andand Shinjuku....more...
