quick question - does anyone here know what the first msx console was and who produced it?

Must say, I am not a big fan of Sony. It was produced by NEC as far as I know, but not 100% sure.
I think this is the American version.

I think the MSX was a "standard" of some kind, with hardware manufacturers each taking it and making their own MSX hardware around it.
