GPS POIs / GPS Coordinates

Postby JT191 » Wed May 02, 2007 11:13 pm

I think this is the right forum for this question, let me know if I am wrong.

I am not a computer or technology wiz, but finally broke down and bought a Garmin Nuvi 350 to use as a perpetual "You Are Here" map. I chose it because it would allow me to load maps of Japan from uud.info, a plus after getting lost in Yokohama last year.

I have managed to load on the V2.0 Japan map, which I have noticed is a little light on landmarks, and I really want train station locations on my GPS.
I have found instructions on how to load points of interest (POIs) using longitude and latitude. I found a list of several hundred train station coordinates at gps-waypoints.net, but these do not have enough decimal places to be used for the exact location.
I have been running searches with Google with every combination of "Japan, longitude, laditude, train station, etc." for about a week, and have not been able to come up with another list.

Does anyone know of a list of train station longitudes and lattitudes or a set of pre made POI's for Japanese landmarks, especially train stations?

Thank you.
