Thanks. I was looking for a cheap ready-made one in Japan though. (I have a feeling one might have issues with Japanese Customs if they tried to import one through FedEx or DHL)

Nope... got mines from Deal extreme... no problem whatsoever, got a 4 antennas phone jammer in the car and 2 portable wifi jammers...

Only problem with the phone jammer is the power output:
1 everytime I turn it on, the light in the car get dimmer and the inboard voltage drop to 11.5v.
2 when the antennas were inside the bodyshell of the car it was headache inducing in less than 2 minutes, got to buy some bit pricey SMA connectors extenders (the cheap one for wifi are all R-SMA) to put them outside and shield between them and car frame with some aluminum.

Really efficient to get the bozo behind to stop calling on the phone and actually drive... Got to love the look on their face when their call drops...

Probably a dumb question, but why would you want phone and Wi-Fi jammers in your car? Just for the fun of wreaking radio wave havoc as you drive around?
Seems a bit extreme if you're just trying to avoid calls from your wife...

The wifi jammer are for the imbecile neighbours at home who install several base station with different SSID Happy_BukkakE_Kaisha 1 thru 4 but all on channel 11... (hint, if you go multihoming that way, you use same SSID and pass but use unique frequency for the base station, client swap by themselves to the best reception one, only problem is if you are between two equally mediocre reception base... then you switch back and forth while going really nowhere, secondary problem, if one of your B.S. have the habit of randomly locking / going tits up, instead of having a clear hole in your wireless network with 1 ssid missing you have to monitor them more precisely)

For the car, allready explained. Can't stand to be around drivers more busy with their phone yapping than with their driving, so I turn on the jammer (who is on a timer for the previously mentioned power consumption problems) when i see a car behaving strangely with a driver holding something near the side of his head... Effective radius is around 10 meters while moving in open space, only for civilian phone frequencies. I'm not exactly a Prowler with this kind of emitting power anyway...

Back on topic the small denki gai near Tam-Tam akihabara on the 2nd level got 4 antennas cell jammers for 3 mans. Seems made in Japan and bit better quality than the chinese ones.
