It also allows you to view Japanese web pages.
And if you have an application that says Kanji Talk or says something about a Japanese version of the MacOS, don't worry about it. Your Mac can still run it as long as you have that language kit installed.
Now if you are trying to do something ELSE, let us hear it, I'm sure you can do it without having to shell out some bucks.
