I think volkswagen would be a better example considering that volkswagen = "peoples car". Or "MINI" a.k.a. BMW, which seems to be very popular these days.

It is not an electronic product, it's from europe, it's expensive so it must be good......

People here have finally woke up and realized that there are other companies outside japan that make household electronic goods. If people don't see it, japanese will but the cheapest shit possible. The chick that totes around $5,000 worth of LV products everyday probably bought 50% of the shit in her home from the 100en shop.

Depends on how you classify "good". For cars, from a styling and overall design standpoint I would say the answer is "yes". Japanese cars are more reliable but my next car will very likely be European.

I think the biggest effect of this will be that the Japanese brands will have to start lowering prices in Japan, perhaps eventually cutting out the middle-man system that is so well established here. Something is very wrong when products made in Japan cost more here than they do in the US. Sometimes a LOT more.

That's because she can't really afford that LV stuff. Her real level of consumerism is the 100yen shop but she prostituted her self to make it look like she's above where she is.
