Mobile & 3G Reception in Subway

Postby Samurai_Jerk » Mon Dec 03, 2012 7:24 pm

It seems there is full mobile and 3G reception on the Toei Asakusa Line today. Have they finally boosted the signal in the tunnels? SoftBank iPhone FYI.

Come to think of it I had bars on my keitai in a subway tunnel recently, don't recall which line though. I assumed it was some sort of anomaly.

Hibiya line between Nakameguro and Ginza is also online and has been for the past two months or so.

It's about fucking time. Too bad it's not free wifi like the subway in Seoul though.

(Although I suspect they're silently singing the Hokey-Pokey...)

Now that there's mobile reception in the tunnels I've noticed more people talking on their phones on the train. I guess now the rail companies are going to have to step up the "Manner Mode" campaign.
