Type on your desktop PC with a phone handset?

Via the GIZMODO blog of Sunday, June 15, 2003...

...the Keiboard, a thumb keyboard that plugs into the USB port of a PC so you can tap out messages just like you would on a cellphone handset. Seems like a huge step backwards, but does anyone know if it's easier to input Japanese characters this way rather than on a regular PC keyboard?

See the Keiboard site.

Ur, um, why do they want to type with only one hand while online?

Here's another"CoolOne" for ya ... a WASHABLE KEYBOARD. Oh yes, come to papa...just wash off the grime after marathon late-night sessions alone in my room. The "CoolOne" has silicon keys, is fully waterproof for washing in the sink, toilet, pool...

Price differences.

Okay, so the rolling keyboards are pretty cool. But what's with the $40 price variation? does it really cost that much more to make a USB version? I could understand a small increase for some PDA that had an unusual connector, but USB?!? :shake: Doesn't seem right.
