See you later, anti-Gators?

In response to a libel lawsuit, an antispyware company has settled with Gator and pulled Web pages critical of the company, its practices and its software.

A Gator executive said the suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, was part of a larger strategy to educate spyware-removers about the company's software--and to put an end to the practice of calling it "spyware."

you can't even call it spyware anymore! :(

this is really f'd up if you can't call spyware as spyware these days.....what's the tech world coming to?

Haha, actually, the U.S. Communications Decency Act would grant immunity to Fucked Gaijin because the statement/content was made by a third party. However, watch out Crispy, cause Gator can still come after you.

This is stupid and I'm surprised PC Pitstop caved in. If I were PC Pitstop, I would continue to state that "Gator's software was once called spyware by many people" and I would not be making a libelous statement.
