The sound systems from the seventies were so much better than the digital shit that we use today. I bought an old turntable at a recycle shop here in Japan. One of those old jammers with the prism and all that. It sounds so much better than any cd player it's not even funny. And those old tube amps have the best sound. I mean listen to the recordings from that era and compare it to the crappy sounds of today. A great example is recently Rumours was remastered. Even though my copy is on cd the old analog recording techniques they used back then are still so bigtime state of the art. I mean, traditional instruments sound just nasty via digital recordings. Especially jazz. If it was analog and then converted that's not so bad but that fake ass shit glossy sound that they use to record pop bands today--gross. HipHop recordings are the best I'll admit that but those guys use all kinds of recording techniques not just this new fangled cheap ass bullshit. It totally reminds me of computer animation verses puppets and make-up. The shit that comes out these days looks so fake, especially that Lord of the Rings crap. I can't even stand to watch it. In the seventies people really cared about sound. I love cds don't get me wrong. The conveience and the ability to get quality sound on cheap portable equipment is awesome. And digital recordings make it way easier for amatuer musicians to make quality recordings. But the reliance on digital by professional musicians these days is just laziness.

"Stuck in the Seventies"?
Nah, I'm Stuck in the 60s....1962 to be exact. With a Bakelite face in the right color, this would be perfect to Pimp My Ride. 8) Then again, my Coupe de Vile all ready has vacuum tube audio.

And I found the best speakers to go with it, Item Number CD V-705

Sheeeee-it no. I don't drive that pimpmoble here.
Cadillacing in the Coupe de VILE is only around the ranch, Burning Tree, Colorado, just off the Santa Fe Trail. Here in the Land-o-Concrete I drive Tokyo's dirtiest Benz cause it's got right-hand drive.
